What we collect

Calculator inputs. The numbers you type into a calculator (ingredient prices, sales, costs, units sold) are processed in your browser. They are not sent to our servers and we don't store them.

Email address. If you enter your email to unlock a result, we store it with our email provider (Brevo) along with which calculator you used. We use it to send our costing checklist, occasional benchmark updates and new-tool announcements. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. We don't sell or rent email addresses.

Usage data. Like most websites, our hosting provider logs standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and performance. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and calculators are used. In the EU, UK and Switzerland it runs without cookies unless you consent; elsewhere it uses first-party cookies. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage to remember that you've unlocked results so you're not asked for your email again. Google Analytics and our third-party advertising partners (see below) may set cookies.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Some pages include Amazon links; as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. Some pages may also include other affiliate links; if you buy something through one, we may earn a commission at no cost to you.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

To unsubscribe, use the link in any email. To have your email address deleted from our list, contact us. Clearing your browser's site data removes the unlock record.

We'll post any changes to this policy on this page with a new date.
